Innovations from the fibre to the fabric

From 1483, when Lauffenmühle was first mentioned in a document, to 1834, the year of foundation as a textile company, the company has continuously developed to an advanced, fully integrated textile company. With its two locations in South Germany, Lauffenmühle stands today for textile innovation due to continuous investments in new technologies, active participation in research projects as well as extremely close cooperation with textile institutes. The process chain ranges from air spun, ring spun and rotor spinning as well as the production of core yarns and twisted yarns over the weaving of functional, elastic and high-tech fabrics to finishing which we also offer as a service.

Our extensive product range comprises yarns for personal needs and retail as well as technical grey fabrics. We focus mainly on the production of fabrics for corporate and protective wear, for the hygiene, health & care as well as uniform fabrics areas of application. This classical business segment of work wear includes for example a wide variety of blended fabrics, cotton-rich fabrics, coloured wovens, elastic fabrics, fabrics for high-visibility warning clothing, antistatic or even antimicrobial textiles as well as customer specifications, e.g. according to corporate identity or other design specifications of our customers. Our product range also offers fabrics for public consumers such as the police force, military personnel or other target groups with specific technical fabric requirements.

Awareness of quality and environment is firmly embedded in our corporate culture. In addition to the certification of the quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001, the sector of human ecology is especially worth mentioning - the products are universally certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - just as the sector of production ecology: the company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001. In October 2008, Lauffenmühle has also been awarded certification according to bluesign standard; bluesign screens the sustainability of the entire production chain up to the final product.
